The core of what you need to know in order to use the attunement effectively is written in the manual. If you want attunements along with deep dive information, I am pretty sure there are plenty of practitioners who provide a full-on workshop or courses out there for each spirit.

Your attunement will work no matter what your relationship is like with the spirit! Of course, if you want to show your appreciation or give thanks, that’s totally up to you. Offering gratitude is actually a pretty sweet way to build up your relationship, which might make the whole thing even more effective. But hey, it’s totally optional – you do you!
